Primarily grown in Victoria, celery is a low calorie low energy vegetable that is a member of the parsley family. The long pale green stalks of the celery contain a good source of vitamins and minerals which reduce inflammation and support digestion.
Available all year round. Peak season is Winter - Spring.
For optimum keeping, remove the stalks of the celery by cutting the base and remove the leaves. Cut the stalks in half and place them in a container that is half filled with water. This will help keep the celery fresh and crunchy as celery is mostly made up of water.
