A flowering plant that has a greenish white stem with dark green leaves. Its roots can be used as a coffee substitute and food additive. It is native in Europe and can be seen growing wildly on the side of the road.

For optimum keeping, it is recommended that you store chicory in the dry crisp area of the refrigerator. Wrap or cover them in newspaper, do not wrap them in plastic as Chicory needs air circulation.
