Aussie born and bred, Packham pears are one of the most favourite and tastiest varieties in the world. They have an irregular shape which is characterised by a bulbous and wide bottom along with a smaller round neck and dark brown stem. When picked off the tree, they are a green in colour and which will develop into a light yellow once the pear has ripened up. The have a white to ivory colour flesh which is sweet and juicy. They are perfect for both eating and cooking.

Flavour - When ripe, they are very juicy and creamy with an aromatic sweet flavour.
Availability - Available May - January.
Storage - Store unripe pears at room temperature away from sunlight. Once ripened, store pears in the dry crisp area of the refrigerator.
