The most popular dessert pear. It is excellent for cooking, poaching or baking. Its flesh is dense, creamy and rich. It less juicy then other pairs which is ideal for cooking as it will hold its shape.

Flavour - Sweet flavour with hints of spices like cinnamon. 

Availability - March - December.

Storage - Place unripe pears at room temperature away from sunlight. Once ripened, place them in the dry crisp area of the refrigerator.
