Plums are far more diverse then their other stone fruit cousins such as peach or nectarine. They come in a far more diverse range, shapes, sizes, colours and taste which can range from extremely sweet to tart. Black Plums are known to be quite a sweet and sour plum. They are fantastic in desserts, cooking, salads, pies or just eaten raw in general.

For optimum keeping, store unripe plums at room temperature to bring them up to peak ripeness. Once ripe, place them in a plastic or paper bag and store them in the dry crisp area of the refrigerator.
