An Australian favourite, silverbeet is known for its long white stalks accompanied by its large crinkly green leaves. It is highly nutritious containing a good source of vitamins A, B6, C and K as well as folate.
Available all year round. Peak season is March - August.
For optimum keeping, trim any damaged leaves, rinse under water and place silverbeet in a plastic bag and store it in the dry crisp area of the refrigerator.
