A crisp, sweet apple with mild flavour. Galas have a yellow orange skin with red striping and are slightly sweeter than Red Delicious. They’re great for apple sauce, eating by itself, salads and pressing into cider. A good source of dietary fibre, vitamin C and the mineral potassium.
